Packaging Design
Please note: The service is for brands with an existing professional brand identity and brand strategy. If you don’t have this in place yet, please explore our Branding Packages or get in touch to discuss a custom solution.

Discovery
The discovery phase sets the direction for your packaging project. This is where we align on your vision, goals, and the purpose of the product, ensuring your packaging supports your brand and connects with your audience.
Through questionnaires, mood boards, and a discovery call, we gather the insights needed to understand your product, your audience, and your brand. We also review competitors and market trends to identify gaps and opportunities, helping define what makes your product unique and how it can stand out.
As part of this stage, we review your existing branding and strategy to confirm we have everything needed for the packaging design. This includes logos, brand elements, and design guidelines. If anything is missing or requires adaptation, we’ll recommend the best approach before starting, so your packaging can be created strategically without needing a full rebrand (additional costs may apply).
We’ll also ask for a clear plan of where your packaging will appear, whether on a crowded supermarket shelf, a boutique store counter, or online. This ensures your design is tailored to the environment, because context changes how shoppers notice, evaluate, and choose products.
Finally, we cover the mandatory information your packaging requires (ingredients, allergens, storage instructions, and other compliance details) ensuring clarity, alignment, and a strong foundation before moving into design.
Design & Mock-ups
With a clear understanding of your product, brand, and retail context, we craft packaging that reflects your brand story while being strategically designed to perform in the real world. Every design decision, from layout and typography to colour, imagery, and materials, is guided by retail strategy and shopper behaviour.
We design with the environment in mind. For boutique shops or online stores, your packaging can tell a story, engage customers with details, and create a lasting connection. For larger supermarkets, the design focuses on visibility, clarity, and instant recognition, ensuring your product can compete on crowded shelves and communicate its key benefits within seconds.
Many products are designed to work in both contexts, allowing your brand to grow and scale over time. By planning for long-term goals, we ensure your packaging is not only compelling in smaller retail spaces but also ready for future expansion into major retailers like Dunnes or other chains.
We provide realistic mock-ups so you can see your product in context, test how it performs visually, and refine every detail before production. This ensures each SKU is on-brand, visually striking, and strategically positioned to capture attention, communicate value, and support your growth plans.
Printer Collaboration
Once the design is approved, we work directly with your printer to bring your packaging to life. We apply the design to the keyline and oversee the production process to ensure your packaging matches the approved design and meets your expectations.
If you don’t have an existing printer, we can recommend trusted printer partners to ensure your products are produced to the highest quality, while maintaining consistency and alignment with your brand.
