Dolce Amaro
Packaging redesign for Dolce Amaro, created to make the brand feel more premium, reflect the quality of their handmade biscuits, and appeal to independent retailers. Since the redesign, Dolce Amaro has partnered with Lilliput Trading as a distributor and significantly expanded its presence in shops across Ireland.

When Greta and Antonietta, the founders of Dolce Amaro, got in touch, the feedback they were hearing was consistent. The biscuits were exceptional, but the packaging did not look premium or professional enough. As a result, many potential stockists were saying no before even tasting the product.

They hired us to create packaging that feels confident, premium, and retail ready, while keeping the handmade, artisanal character that defines how the biscuits are made.

Greta - Dolce Amaro
The Design​

For the sweet biscuit range, we created an ingredient led pattern using hand drawn illustrations of pistachios, walnuts, hazelnuts, wheat, and cocoa flowers. The designs use rich, vibrant colours with subtle gold detailing to give the range a more premium finish. The logo was also refined, introducing a warmer, earthy brown tone that better reflects the natural ingredients and works across the full range.

For the savoury biscuits, Greta and Antonietta wanted the designs to reflect Ireland iconic landscapes and where the brand is made. Inspired by the Ha’penny Bridge, the countryside, rugged cliffs, and coastal landscapes, we developed detailed illustrations that bring a strong sense of character and authenticity to the range. A bright but considered colour palette, gold accents, and the updated logo help tie everything together into one cohesive brand.

Since the rebrand, Dolce Amaro has secured Lilliput Trading as a distributor and is now stocked in a growing number of shops across Ireland. The new packaging presents the biscuits as premium and professional on shelf, helping the brand attract the right stockists and grow with confidence.
